This is the lyrics to a traditional song, "Old Irish Blessing." We have sung it for many years in the church choir where I Cantor. Twelve years ago, I got to sing it at my son’s wedding, which gave it even more tender memories for me. Showing the lyrics in shorthand has a flow and rhythm all its own. Shorthand is something that needs to be commemorated while there are still people out there who can read it and enjoy it. This painting is one image with two remembrances.
