Abstract Art by Lauren Dickinson
Interstellar: Between or among the stars
30" x 40" Mixed Media
Contemporary Abstract Art Collection
When I was young, I had a very vivid imagination that always translated into very surreal dream time. I had a dream once that I could travel to the "dark side of the moon" (this was even before my love of Pink Floyd) and could get there by putting on this bright and fuzzy pair of purple "moon boots". I climbed around and saw the fabled structures on the dark side of the moon, and had a personal guide who would help beam me and make sure I never took off the boots, otherwise I'd float off into space.
Although my imagination and dreams haven't subdued in the slightest (I had a dream about a golden retriever named 'Tank' that was digging holes in the back yard, as I was about to hike the White Sands Desert in New Mexico - never been there nor do I know any Tanks!) imagination I can now funnel into my art as an adult.
