In 2019, Emily Barton Design was tasked with designing the interior and exterior of the first ever Clad & Cloth retail store located in Provo, Utah. Emily designed the store’s floor plan and merchandising structure and installed shelving, clothing racks, and accessories fixtures that she custom built. She also designed and built a custom cash wrap counter for the space and executed her design for the store’s fitting rooms. The German smear surface treatment on the exterior of the store’s facade was done by Emily, and she created an art installation of weather treated driftwood that swoops across the building’s exterior. All of the store’s interior visual display was also designed and created by Emily. From the hanging dried and silk florals, the 168 square foot preserved moss wall, the canopy of tree branches, the wall of trailing vines and the floral installations in the fitting rooms, all were custom designed and implemented by Emily Barton Design.
