This lone, dried hydrangea falling in front of a pine was the start of the entire In Quiet Solitude Collection. I watched as it swayed in the breeze and knew I wanted to try to create that ease, to capture the deep, rich green, was so struck by its brown that I knew that would play a prominent part in the collection, wanted to get a hold of its dark colors with brighter contrasts. This photograph and all that it captures is what brought this Collection to life.
