“the beauty of simplicity is the complexity it attracts”
I have always been intrigued by the way a beautiful landscape can make you feel. Not just the awe that it inspires but the fact that the colors in a vibrant sunset can make you feel energized. The way a sunrise can make you feel calm and ready to tackle whatever a new day brings. The way massive mountains in the distance can make you feel humble and put things back into perspective.
My goal will always be to capture those emotions in my work. At the same time, I play with geometry using ribbons of color while creating intricate and detailed pieces that expose the purity and beauty of simple design.
My art brings together elements of nature, modern minimalism and unique combinations of color with the goal of sparking the emotions of its viewers.
Endless inspiration comes from the world around me and its exceptional beauty while incorporating my love of mid-century modern design and aesthetics.
“Deceptively Simple” these words have often been used to describe my work. At first glance, a piece may simply grab your eye but then the longer you examine it, you begin to appreciate the fine details, the nuances, and the emotion woven through each piece.
I paint without the use of tape. Using acrylics on canvas, a brush, and a steady hand to create those crisp lines. Most of my works are quite large and can take upwards of 40 hours to complete. Every minute that passes is well spent and treasured when I see a collector connect with one of my pieces. Absolutely Priceless....
