Westfields hospital wanted an ‘uplifting’ piece of art that would bring vibrancy and life to the space. The theme for the art; nature, positive, and hopeful. Light weight metal worked the best for this application. The colorful elements shine with surrounding daylight coming in through the upper windows. The elements radiate out from the center and the diameter of the art is 25’; many of the elements are 5’ long. My architectural background played a key role in the design and installation details when working with building architects.

Stunning and brilliantly colored pure fused glass art for commercial and residential projects

Bonnie creates unique fused glass and metal architectural art pieces. She has developed methods to achieve stunning compositional art effects in large scale glass, and integrates these into wall murals, lighting, counter tops, privacy walls, and sculptures. Her work is featured in hospitals, universities, and residences. Trained in urban design, she was site project manager on projects nationwide, as well as an environmental sustainability consultant to large MN corporations and facilities. Her passion for glass is now her focus, and her glass studio is in a large former dairy barn, where she explores the medium with enthusiasm.
All art on Bonnie's page is copy-written.
