I am delighted to create a unique piece, especially for your space! Pricing for commissioned pieces is slightly higher than it is to purchase a painting that is already completed, as it is always a bit more work to paint a piece for a client’s vision. I will never copy an existing painting, but can always create something new, in a similar spirit to one that I have already painted, and can adapt my color palette to reflect your wishes. I can work with custom sizes too. If you’re interested pursuing this route, please contact me to discuss your ideas, and to get a price quote!

Colourful abstract painting by Canadian painter, Claire Desjardins.

"Hi, I'm Claire Desjardins (She/Her).
It's really nice to meet you.
I help to create happiness by infusing moments of joy in everyday lives."

Claire Desjardins (b. 1965, Montreal) is a Canadian artist living and working in Gore, Quebec. Working primarily in painting, her formally driven work focuses on gesture and colour, emphasizing energetic, animated brush strokes and bold palettes. Her work is both highly abstract and highly personal, a dynamic expression of sentiments or reactions of which she is consciously unaware.

She regularly exhibits her work in galleries and art fairs throughout North America. In addition, she frequently teaches painting workshops and has served as a jury member on several national art prizes.

She is currently represented by Wall Space Gallery in Ottawa, Ontario.
