Carolyn Braaksma and I designed and fabricated a wide variety of interior details for an Iowa Department of Natural Resources resort development in southern Iowa. The material pallet includes glass mosaic, cast bronze, patterned ceramic floor tile inserts, cast and stained concrete, and art glass panels. The art glass includes eight small and seven large panels used as interior privacy screens. The overall design scheme responded to the prevailing prairie style architecture and is derived from plants and animals native to the region.

I am a visual artist, sculptor and public artist with a particular interest in kinetic sculptural devices. I've completed numerous public art commissions across the country, both as a solo artist and as a part of collaborative teams. My work ranges from temporary interactive sculptural installations to permanent sculptural object making and also includes fully architecturally integrated projects such as terrazzo and decorative stone flooring treatments. I've received grants and awards from the Minnesota State Arts Board, the McKnight, Jerome, and Knight Foundations and the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota where, for the past twenty-five years, I've directed my own design and fabrication firm, Kaspari Design Services, Inc.
