"Hidden Treasure" Print

Price from $182 to $255

Painting pebbles is a challenge and one that takes hours of focus and attention to detail. Hidden treasure is all about childhood memories and walking along the beach, picking up stones, feeling that texture and smoothness in your hands. I can almost hear that sound as they clink off each-other.

This is a limited edition Giclee print. The original painting was first scanned using the most advanced equipment in Europe called the Cruse Scanner, a rare device, owned by such institutions as the Guggenheim, the V&A Museum and the Vatican Secret Archive. This device produces images far exceeding the results achieved by photography and conventional flatbed scanners. The digitization of the original is the first of several steps in our archival process which is strictly controlled for quality at all stages. Once the scan is ready it is then printed using archival quality inks and printed onto the finest quality cotton rag paper. This exquisite paper has a flat matt finish and has a small border which makes it easy to frame

Each print will be signed, numbered, and titled by me underneath the image area in the white border. All prints are sent rolled in a sturdy postal tube.

Hi, I’m Fran Halpin, artist from Dublin Ireland

Captivated by creative work from a young age, I never let adversity get in my way as I carved a career for myself against all odds.

Growing up in Tallaght, for as long as I can remember I had my heart set on spending life tucked away in a studio brushing endless images onto canvas. I only ever wanted to be an artist. It always seemed like a dream but it never occurred to me to even try and get a job in an office or anywhere else. Focusing my inspiration on the connection between nature and family, I want my creative work to tell a story of how both concepts brings us back to childhood memories – by inviting the viewer to step away from their busy lives and experience a moment of calm.

These authentic representations ask the viewer to pause, step into a calm space and reconnect with childhood memories. My intention is to use fine art to create a sensorial and emotive connection with my audience.

By passing obstacles and roadblocks as a teenager and young adult, I caught a glimpse of my dream artist’s life when I opened the doors to my first solo exhibition in 2018. “I finally found the courage to paint for myself when I decided to throw away the rulebook and paint what I love.” Having gone straight from college to self-employment, I had had enough of creating for other people and realised I had the talent to make it on her own.

Since that showing two years ago, my career has gone from strength to strength. Successfully running two businesses, it’s safe to say I has come quite a long way from the school art room where it all began. Splitting my time across my mural business and personal paintings, I feel lucky that I get to paint anything I like and I actually get to make a living from this. It never ceases to amaze me.

Not one to slow down, the Irish artist is looking toward the future with her next project and release of her next collection. An inspiration to budding creatives everywhere, Fran quotes her mother when leaving us with her biggest piece of advice, “If it was easy everyone would do it!”
