This vase seduces with its coral like turquoise glaze which makes this piece look like it came out of the sea. I threw this one of a kind vase on the pottery wheel in my studio on the coast just south of Barcelona. I used white stoneware clay and applied a turquoise crater glaze which creates a special effect on the surface of the vessel. The vase should not be used with fresh flowers because of the glaze.
