"Buddha in a tree"
Based on a stone carving found in Wat Mahathat temple in Ayutthaya, Thailand, there are different theories as to how the head ended up there. It's believed the original statue was decapitated in 1767 by the Burmese army, and the tree grew around the head. Another theory is that a thief hid it there in the 1900s.
In Thailand, Buddha is a significant presence. The wisdom and openness he represents influence people in every aspect of their lives. Buddha represents that rare combination of power and gentleness. This beautiful wall panel embodies that juxtaposition of opposites, as Buddha’s peaceful countenance gazes down from the magnificent, stately resource of wood. His image is simultaneously uplifting and relaxing. Now you can discover the calming, inspiring effect of Buddha in the Serene stage when you display this wall panel which has been skillfully carved from three joined panels.
Hand rubbed in natural nontoxic Antique Oak tone oil giving an aged oak wood look. Color ranges from medium to dark Oak and brown tones that will darken as the wood ages
*Please Note* There will be various separations or cracks and color will vary from the pictures depicted for every single piece. No two pieces will match
*YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE PIECE PICTURED. AS THAT IS JUST A REPRESENTATION OF THE DESIGN AND FINISH TONE.
There will be visible marks from carving, patches from repairs, knot holes, natural inclusions, and worm holes. There will be various separations or cracks on your piece when it arrives. They naturally occurred as the wood was dried. Over time, continued shrinkage will accentuate existing separations or generate new ones. This does not compromise the structural performance or integrity of the wood and is considered inherent to the natural beauty of the design.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. Color discrepancies will occur between the product and your computer screen
There will be visible marks from carving, patches from repairs, knot holes, natural inclusions, various separations, and worm holes
Hand made from start to finish. 100% Sustainable eco friendly woods and finishes
