A modern take on a traditional art form —
FIBROUS founder, designer and maker, Ellen Bruxvoort, uses natural materials to create textural fiber art for interior spaces. Based in Austin, Texas in 2015, Ellen began tapestry weaving as a hobby, which slowly expanded into a full time job exploring everything from retail production to commercial art installations. Her practice is informed by both traditional Peruvian weavers and contemporary fiber artists alike. Ellen wears all the hats of this operation, and appreciates y’all for supporting small. It really does make a difference.
