Stoneware vase handbuilt by Rita Kettaneh.
Unique piece.
Color and Finish:
Pink Beige, Glossy
Dimensions:
Diameter 13.3 cm, height 16 cm
It is a series of stoneware vases and a pitcher handbuilt by Rita Kettaneh. It is inspired by the butterfly's wings, particularly on a microscopic level, a magnificent view of wonder that left its imprint on Rita and emphasised the significance of this creature in her life.
This series took her on a journey of exploring the subtlety of form, the flowing quality of movement, and the serendipitous process of discovery as endowed by the butterfly.
"It is a form of ongoing research in which I try to come closer to portraying the nature of the wings and in a way, come closer to the unreachable butterfly. Sometimes it escapes further beyond and other times it feels like I am almost communicating with it." Rita Kettaneh
