Nature Paintings and of New York City where I have lived for two years. Art With a touch of magic.

Bénédicte Grange Rogulski began her fine arts training in the Paris region, pursued it at the Art Students League of New York for two years, then as part of Hélène Legrand's research workshop. Today, she works in her workshop in Louveciennes (Yvelines, France) and teaches to adults at the Atelier Enfance de l'Art in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. She has received several Prizes and exhibited as solo and in numerous selective Parisian Salons such as Salon d'Automne, Art Capital and the one organized by Société National des Beaux Arts at Carrousel du Louvre. Her status is that of professional artist registered at the Maison des Artistes (Paris, France).
The "Forests" series was born from a dive into the heart of Canada's primary forests and the desire to throw on the canvas the colors of these magnificent landscapes, the phosphorescent green mosses, the emeralds of the lakes, the brick red of the mountains... Rather than forests, we should speak of "wilderness", a term which evokes the profusion and exuberance of plant life, nature not corrected by human hands. What a contrast with the New York cityscape series! This one was born out of Benedicte's love for NYC where she has lived for two years.
Both series have also a lot in common: the pursuit of light, colors and contrasts with a touch of poetic realism. More important than the subject is the painting itself. Enjoy!
