The Gladstone is a refined dining chair that blends a clean Mid-Century inspired aesthetic with traditional materials and joinery techniques. Each piece is handcrafted to order in our Ottawa studio.
The Gladstone is built using mortise and tenon joints throughout the frame to ensure long-term durability. Meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout the chair's design and construction, as seen in the softly rounded frame edges and carefully contoured back slats.
The lightly padded seat is wrapped with a thick sheet of natural saddle leather.
The oak frame is treated with a hand-rubbed oil finish. This low-lustre natural finish contains no VOCs and protects the wood without obscuring the look and feel of the material.
