We spent months designing and perfecting this chair. Our goal was to make a comfortable, elegant chair that would greet a large spectrum of different bodies. We want this chair to warm up a room, to feel like it’s part of the family. This chair is made by us, by hand. It has a negative carbon footprint, like everything we make, and it is free of plastic and toxins. It’s for you and the ones you love. It will hold you, while you eat with your friends, or sit and read a favorite book.

We prioritize sustainability in all of our designs - with this intention we offer an alternative leather option to the sling chair. Our Cactus Leather Sling will stun you with its softness and strength. An elegant and sustainable alternative to traditional leathers.


Every piece of this collection is designed by Fuugs and made from salvaged trees, milled by us, dried, and crafted into furniture by hand in Philadelphia, PA. They are finished with a beeswax finish we make ourselves.

Due to the organic nature of our material, the wood for each piece made will be unique. This may cause variation in the grain, color, and texture of the finished piece.

locally rooted, sustainable wooden furniture

Fuugs is a small, sustainably dedicated, locally based, hand built wooden furniture company. We offer a catalog of beautiful, durable and sustainable designs to people ready to invest in an alternative to the disposable products of box stores. Since 2016 we have worked to create furniture that stands out both for its radical approach to material sourcing and for the artful design that blends aesthetic and functionality. Our material is reclaimed by us from urban trees that we save from the waste stream, sequestering carbon in our furniture to make all of our products truly carbon negative. The design comes from the minds of sculptors and partners in life and business, Greg Fuguet and Kristen Snow. Alumni of Tyler School of Art’s Sculpture program, they have honed their craft for a decade into furniture that changes how we engage with the world.
