21x45” natural cotton wall hanging on hand-foraged drift wood.

This piece brings rich texture and modern tribal aesthetic provided by the natural cotton, line details, and hand foraged Lake Superior drift wood. When making these pieces I was inspired by classic marble statues and relief pieces, many of which come from ancient Rome. The sculptors’ abilities to emulate draping fabric, smooth skin, and human hair with such a dense medium is so beautiful to me. These pieces are my homage to the old and the new, the harsh and organic, and the natural and man-made.

I make art that celebrates finding joy in the ordinary.

Originally from Kansas City, I grew up in a loud and passionate family that taught me self-expression as a basic instinct and necessity to get a word in at the dinner table. Fiery, honest and emotional since the womb, I’ve never known another way of being. I've been creating professionally for 4 years from my home studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I live with my husband, Jeremy, our daughter, Layla, and two rescue cats, Baker and Pablo.
