FPL Floating Solar Sign - Signage

The project was a one of a kind sign package on an array of floating solar panels in a marsh just east of one of the landing strips at Miami International Airport. This project is regarded as the first-ever floating solar project for FPL and had a lot of high media visibility surrounding the positive effects of using empty ponds, everglades, or any unmanned natural body of water available for creating solar energy as an alternative to building more power stations. When creating a solar float there are a few necessary items that come into place. First the weight and buoyancy, and second the height of the waves, and how that moves the floats back and forth and left to right. Then the ability to mount a structure to the floats to support the signage. There was a lot of media event surrounding the launch date into the water. Needless to say, it was a success!
