Vibrant throw blankets with symbolic meaning, designed to warm hearts and spaces.

Superstitchous was born out of a deep desire to create beautiful and enduring things to comfort and delight people. Bay Area-based designer, Samira Khoshnood, was searching for a creative outlet [outside of her day job as a product designer in tech] when she came up with the idea behind Superstitchous. In December 2019, while on maternity leave, she launched the business.

Samira draws design inspiration from things that feel nostalgic to her (mostly fruit trees from her childhood home in Iran). She works with a small family-run mill in the USA to bring the blankets to life, using eco-friendly upcycled yarn. Samira handles the creative aspects of the small business from her home in Berkeley, California, and her mom fulfills orders with care from Georgia.
