The exterior wall to this cavernous warehouse space was so long and overwhelming that the entry and exit doors were often hard to find. The small, boring and strictly utilitarian entry doors needed some paint magic. We worked with the owner of this well established San Francisco hardware store to design and paint false doorways to enhance the story and identity of the business and make the doors feel more accessible and contemporary. Our goal was to achieve a trompe l’ oeil effect that created a new reality.
