Fabergé, the world’s most iconic artist jeweller, is the proud sponsor of The Big Egg Hunt, a charity initiative to take place in New York over spring 2014, similar to the one held to great acclaim in London in 2012.

The project will see up to 300, 2½ foot tall egg sculptures, designed by globally renowned artists and designers hidden in Manhattan during the Easter period. All proceeds will benefit two charities: ‘The Elephant Family’ and Agnes Gund’s ‘Studio in a School’. Participants who enter the hunt will have the opportunity to win one of three Fabergé prizes, with a combined retail price exceeding USD 125,000. The unique prizes are specially designed Fabergé jewellery egg pendants in gold and diamonds set with Zambian emeralds, Mozambican rubies or Zambian amethysts, kindly donated by Gemfields, the world’s leading producer of ethically-sourced rare coloured gemstones.

As a passionate advocate of the arts and of creative talent, Fabergé views The Big Egg Hunt as a perfect medium with which to celebrate artistry and creativity, whilst supporting two deserving charities – raising much-needed funds for needy children in New York City as well as for some of the world's most endangered animals.
