Temporary light installation was first created for the Odyssey Sculpture Exhibition at Purdue University Northwest. It has since been shown at music and art festivals including: Lollapalooza and Looptopia.

Eye Candy consists of randomly flashing neon inside a steel frame which is wrapped by
layers of dichroic film a reflective and transmissive polyester based film
that produces different colors depending on the light’s angle of incidence.

Born in 1966, from Arlington Heights, Illinois and now residing in Chicago, John E. Bannon is a multi-media visual artist and educator whose work is seen in public and private collections locally and abroad. An adjunct assistant professor for 12 years at the school of the art institute of Chicago, he now works full time out of his studio in the old town. He earned a BFA degree in painting in 1990 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-champaign and an MFA degree in a studio from the school of the art institute of Chicago in 2002.
