“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ― Pablo Picasso
Passion, profession and motherhood. Three seemingly non-related words, but make up the DNA of Kankan.
Kankan Ramos (Filipino, b. 1976) was born in Manila, Philippines. Early in her life, she was exposed to art through summer workshops and instantly fell in love with the craft. She pursued her passion in her studies, immersing herself in an education system that would allow her to develop her skills.
In 1996, Kankan graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Advertising and entered the Ad world to put her education into practice by connecting brands to consumers. During this time, Kankan continued to pursue her passion for painting, producing various works and participating in several group exhibitions.
Spanning more than 20 years, Kankan has been able to work with local and international brand as a marketer. And her passion only grows with the understanding that digital is the future for brands. She is currently the COO of InvictusPH, where she envisions bringing meaningful play space for brands and consumers to create stories and experiences in both the physical and digital realm through integrated marketing activations.
Balancing her time has always been a difficult task, but Kankan has found a way to make it work. While running a Digital Marketing company, Kankan finds time for her art and has been experimenting with different styles and techniques, from portraits to abstract to drawing with pen and ink. She had her first solo exhibit exploring the many facets of women, entitled About: Face and was just recently part of an exhibit in Chelsea, New York.
All these dimensions come together to create a unique set of capabilities that lend their experience to become better at all facets of her being.
