This original, acrylic painting is a contemporary, timeless art addition to any home. Its modern and minimalistic composition can complement any home decor style and would look great as a piece within a gallery wall or simply by itself.

This painting is one of 5 pieces of the EREMUS Collection.

EREMUS: Noun erēmus (genitive erēmī) (masc.)
(Late Latin) wasteland, wilderness, desert.

This collection is an ode to a couple years that we lived in the Sonoran Desert South of Tucson, in Arizona. I have such vivid memories taking long walks between Saguaros, Barrel Cacti and Chollas. The sunrises don't compare because they're after no high trees blocking the view. You can see the monsoons approach from miles away. The skies there are impeccable. And that is only a fraction of the natural beauty one can experience there.

I always thought of deserts being dead and dreadful. But this one - alive.. so alive.
These abstracts are an interpretation of the landscape there.

With each piece, she invites viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of our surroundings and the continuous flow of energy and movement. Many of Kovach's pieces are a reflection of her deep connection to nature or how she experiences the world, compelling viewers to appreciate its beauty and contemplate their place within it.

Damaris’ art has been incorporated into private homes, hotels, and public spaces around the world.
