Exploring the intersection of contemporary fine art and ancient ritual.

Sara is a contemporary abstract artist and creative director based in Portland, Oregon. After graduating with a degree in photography, she spent over a decade working in branding and marketing before prioritizing her passion for painting and curating artful objects.

Working in subtle variations of color and reflections of light evocative of the natural world, she approaches painting with a layered, textured style. Painting primarily with oil, her work is dark, soulful, and contemplative, generally working in the colors reflective of the rainy Pacific Northwest she calls home.

An allegory of emotion and atmosphere, her pieces explore the intersection of contemporary art and ancient ritual - using art as a pathway to bring the ancient history we as humans hold within our bones and our spirits into the present era.

Her work can be found in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Asia.
