Archival diptych pigment print on Moab Entrada Rag. This was photo was taken with 35mm Black and White Kodak Tri-X film.

This photo was taken at Encinitas Beach, CA. in 2018.

This print is a part of a panoramic 35mm film series that was shot over three years in Southern California. I used a Horizon Perfekt panoramic film camera, purchased years ago in San Francisco. The camera lens captures an entire 180 degree view, often creating a curvature on the horizon line. The project took me to Joshua Tree National Park, Trona Pinnacles, Trestles Beach, Encinitas, a few secluded beaches along the Pacific Coast Highway, and explorations across the southern deserts. The film’s graininess, accidental double exposures, and light leaks - capture the mystical awe of Californian wild places.
