The magic of color, texture and surface has mesmerized and intoxicated me for as long as I can remember. To this day, materials are often my inspiration. I want to get to know them and see what we can do.

At the age of 3, I created my first wall mural with my mother’s lipstick. Since my mother was a teaching artist, I had access to all kinds of wondrous things. The vivid inks and rich charcoals beckoned. Every stroke of color was pure joy. Canvas and paper too confining, I painted the walls all over the house. Eventually this abandon was tamed into mural and canvas art.

I work primarily with the Washington, DC design community and private clients around the country, creating site-specific work for residential, commercial, health care & hospitality projects. This has developed into an unusually varied body of work in a multitude of styles and mediums. This work includes fine and decorative artistry, mural painting, hand-painted wall coverings, gilding and Verre’ Eglomise.

I have been honored with several awards from the American Society of Interior Designers’ DC chapter as well as being a three-time winner of the Designer’s Choice Award from Home & Design Magazine readers. In 2018 my work was included in a six-month museum exhibition at the Hillwood Museum in Washington, DC. I exhibit through galleries, showrooms and design stores around the country. Ever grateful to be share my love affair with all things paint and surface, I recently launched a Print on Demand Gallery site so art lovers can create their perfect piece. I most enjoy working with Collectors to create pieces that are personal and specific to their desires.
