Title: Dusk at Rovinj
Location: Rovinj, Croatia
Series of 25
Archival pigment giclee print on Epson Baryta Fine Art Paper.
This photograph captures a panoramic view of a picturesque coastal town of Rovinj in Croatia under an overcast sky. The dominant feature of the composition is a steeple of the Church of St. Eupemia, built in 1725. Rovinj is tightly packed with a colorful array of buildings, mostly in warm hues of yellow, orange, pink, and red, set against the background of a moody sky with hues of gray and soft light breaking through in places.
The city has an enormous amount of architectural charm, with a variety of window shapes, sizes, and roof styles. Parts of the town dates back to the 3rd century AD. The waterfront has a stone barrier, separating the town from the water, and some buildings are directly adjacent to it, showcasing their seaside location in the Adriatic Sea.
