The Duke L'Orange is a first cousin and companion to Mr. Majestic. Both paintings are 16" x 20" oil on canvas. While I was painting him, my niece, Sarah, said that he needed a name that was regal and strong. This butterfly has a presence all his own. The contrast between the oranges and light blues gives strength without being overpowering. He reminds me of a Disney character. I kept expecting him to say something, the way he was giving you a side-long look!
