Dolce Lane - Architecture

This home proves that a generous sized home can be achieved on a small inner-city block for a modest budget.
A young couple working on the mines sought an urban home that was robust enough to lock up and leave for their stints on site, but warm and inviting to serve them during their breaks in Perth. The site was small, nestled behind a period home in North Perth on the corner of a rear lane.
The design employ solutions to provide the indoor and outdoor spaces to serve the family, while maximising access to North light, the views and the landscaping. A roof deck leads off a second living space upstairs creates additional livings spaces on this small block. The location adjacent the intersection of a lane allows this deck to open to the views and the breezes, while a perforated screen wall provides privacy to the front neighbour.
