The desert bandana is inspired by hot dusty hikes over boulders and through canyons under the summer sun, and native plants and creatures that one might encounter along the way. Dyed in small batches with earth-friendly dyes and screen printed with water-based inks. Available in "Terracotta" and "Dust".

Bandanas are screen printed with water-based inks on natural cotton fabric with stitched hem.

This design features a desert snake encircling the sun. Within the sun is a landscape with native desert plants and a hot sun. I lived in the desert near Joshua Tree for a few years, and I am continually inspired by the unique plants, animals, and landscapes of the region.

Measures 22” x 22”

Care: Hand wash gently, tumble or line dry.

Due to the process, each one is unique and may vary slightly.

Color may vary slightly as the bandanas are dyed in small batches. Price does not include shipping.

Printed goods for the body and home

Elana Gabrielle is a multidisciplinary illustrator, maker, and designer of printed textile and paper goods. Her work is influenced by wild and varied landscapes from misty mountains and foggy beaches, to dusty desert valleys. Using cut paper collage, painting, screen printing, and textile design, she weaves the natural world into her creations.

Her handmade goods mirror the environment by focusing on form and function, as well as using sustainable practices and natural fibers, dyes, and inks. Elana’s goods invite mindful interaction with nature both in the home and in the wild as a nurturing of self and space, and encourage care for the world around you.

A note on sustainability ~~~

All of our orders are shipped with 100% plastic-free materials - we use recyclable boxes, packing paper, and paper tape, as well as biodegradable clear packing tape to ensure safe delivery for the orders and the earth. We are very excited to be transitioning to using hemp and recycled cotton fibers rescued from fashion industry landfills for our paper goods, and both our textiles and paper products are printed right in our neighborhood to keep our production as local as possible.

Thank you so much for your support!
