Over the past decade, Suze Ford has emerged as a prominent local artist, exhibiting at galleries and public venues across the Kansas City metro, including a stint as resident artist at ARTichokes in Leawood, Kansas. Also has shown with Strecker-Nelson Gallery in Manhattan, KS. Most recently in 2016, she showed in a two-woman show in the main gallery at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center. She currently is showing and selling her work online.
She loves interacting with her clients directly doing commissioned works as well as collaborations with other creatives.
Suze has also exhibited nationally in a multitude of juried shows, galleries and specializes in composing commissioned works that are in many private collections nationwide, including the UMKC Department of Research and Development, Spaces, Decision Insight, and ABWA headquartered in Overland Park, KS. Just to name a few. She also has received media attention from the Kansas City Star, Fox 4 news, KC Magazine, Lee’s Summit and Leawood Lifestyle Magazine, 435 South Magazine, and the Lee’s Summit Tribune.
She was chosen in 2014 to be Plaza Art Fair featured artist. A Kansas City native, Suze received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She continued her art studies at Lorenzo De Medici in Florence, Italy, before returning to Kansas City to continue her career.
Suze is also a 2009 alum of the Kansas City Artist INC program. Artist, INC, presented by the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, Charlotte Street Foundation and the Missouri Business & Technology Development Center through their KCArtistLink initiative.
She currently resides and works in Lee’s Summit, MO with her husband Jose, and their children Isabella, Aurelia and Marcelo.
