About: Fantastically old and soulful runner with all the imperfections you want in old hand-woven textiles. This is true art from the organic dyes and natural hand-spun sheep wool to the rare all-over pattern with the subtle focal point in the center. This subtle medallion is asymmetrical which gives us the human element that we are always chasing in these rugs. If you want perfect, this isn't the runner for you - as there is a slight and charming bow in the rug as speaking to its nomadic nature. Imagine the long wooden loom used to weave this, or perhaps it was done in two parts and hence the irregularity in shape? These are questions we will never know, but the mystique in that is, of course, what it's all about. Deep inky indigo blues with pops of pinks, salmon, beige, and more. Truly a beautiful antique runner from top to bottom.
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
