Inspired by wild elderberry blooms on a hike taken in early spring the artist used vibrant colors and wide gestural marks to create a sense of hope and joy.

Brushes, palette knives, kitchen utensils as well as a wide variety of painting techniques were used to create a richly layered work that is full of detail and surprising elements.

The artwork is finished with a process that creates an even, deeply saturated, and protected finish.

Painted on panel mounted to a 2.5” cradle and gallery-wrapped with painted sides this piece is wired and ready to hang.

I want my art to be beautiful because we need a place of respite; a place where we are reminded of who we are, our highest self deep within. Change comes from hope and a vision for what we can be. I want my art to play a role in inspiring that vision.”
