This piece is captivating. I tried to capture the real 'feel' of an eclipse, the corona of light around the sphere, the space on all sides glowing and dissipating. I think it came out perfectly.
It might not be evident from the pictures but the corona is not painted on, it is cut out of the wood, composed of hundreds of small pieces all individually treated. This piece captures your attention from the minute you enter the room, and when you move close to inspect it and see the intricate cuts, how it all fits together, it's really the centerpiece of a space.
EASY TO HANG: each piece comes with heavy duty hangers/wire, which lets you simply put a 2" screw/nail into a stud and hang this piece with no worries about safety. If you'd like a different kind of hanging hardware just ask, I can install whatever you'd like.
