A freehand ‘automatic’ mural for J.Crew in collaboration with VM Architecture and Design celebrating human creativity, diversity and collaboration at their sparkling new corporate headquarters in downtown Manhattan. To achieve this I create a line drawing tapestry of interwovens drawings of working and helping hands, tools of the fashion trade like pencils, needles and thread, scissors and measuring tape, fashionable items like heels, sunglasses an imaginative array of flora and fauna like peacocks, sunflowers and hummingbirds. The result is a modern fluid lace that sparks the imagination and delights the eye. Manhattan, July 2019.

Brian Kenny (born 1982, Heidelberg, Germany) is a NY based American multidisciplinary artist exhibited in galleries, museums, theaters and alternative venues in the US, Canada, Russia, Israel and across Europe. In 2004 Brian began an ongoing collaboration with artist Slava Mogutin as SUPERM. Using an array of mediums including drawing, painting, textile, video and performance, his artwork is bright and vividly expressionistic; often autobiographical and reflective of his current states of mind which include themes of his queer identity, shifting societal perceptions about gender, sexuality and politics, urban living and wanderings of pure imagination and creative experimentation. Brian's commercial and fashion work includes art and design commissions and collaborations with Christian Lacroix (Paris), Walter Van Beirendonck (Belgium), J. Crew (NYC), The Highline Park (NYC), M3 Hotels (Geneva), Scruff (NYC), Yacine Aouadi (Paris), Bruno Magli (Italy), Please Do Not Enter (Los Angeles), Print All Over Me (NYC), Johnson’s Popcorn (Ocean City, NJ) The Thomas Cole National Historic Site (Catskill, NY) and Adam's Nest.
