This vintage-inspired painting was created by Melissa on her iPad with a program called Procreate. “Sanctuary” is inspired by this quote from Herman Hesse:
"Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth. They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient law of life."
This painting has muted shades of pink, beige, green and blue. Melissa applied a craquelure effect to this print.
