About: This piece is just so different than your normal Water Garden / Herati rug. You simply don't see this color palette often at all, let alone ever from this village!! Pinky Watermelon Coral hues that elevate the rug in a calm yet intense way - only to be cooled down by the ice-blue border. Soft English rose and pinks, mocha and earthy camel, reds and greens, and French blues along with navy really decorate this piece like antique confetti. Small mountainous border outlining the perimeter of the field, that attention to detail is splendid. Then you have the waves link all the way around the guard border for another ride for your eyes to take because you get to the gorgeous border. You can't take your eyes off this piece, and trust me that when you lay it down - it will glow. And when you try and walk away, it'll pull you like a magnet just a bit - and you'll like it. This is pure wool pile and foundation add to its nomadic charm, and all in all this is a collector's item and a rug that you will never witness again. Quality, design, colors, materials, weave, and energy like no other. This piece has some old glue on the back on the top and bottom near the fringe - it was one of the ancient old ways they tried to keep the knots from unraveling. It's not a big deal at all - and you'll see these kinds of attempts to preserve good pieces everywhere. Usually, I wouldn't mention it because it's the back of the rug, but I just wanted to mention it in case you wanted to know what it is. It's not sticky anymore obviously, and we've washed it and tried to get as much of it off as possible. Just another story the rug has! :)

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
