A slab of Claro Walnut sits atop four hand turned legs. The legs are accented and protected by Copper ‘Caps’. The end grain edges of the slab is charred ‘ yakisugi ‘ black. A small copper and ebony wood inlay on the table top adds some pizzazz and stabilizes a crack.

Simon Silver Designs is a Fine Furniture Studio based in Santa Cruz California whose vision is to breathe new life into fallen trees, and use the beautiful medium that is wood to create masterful pieces. Our life goal is to respect and practice the art of salvaging trees and transforming them into fine hardwood tables, and furniture in the most organic way possible. Each slab of wood that becomes a table can be traced back to an exact location, and reason for being felled, be it by natural causes, due to tree sickness, or danger to a nearby home.
