The low country region of South Carolina has the most stunning marshes. This painting is inspired by the beautiful sunsets and marshes of the places I love. This painting has gold leafing along the edges to light up the canvas as the sun moves across it in a room. This item is currently on location and would need 2 weeks lead time before shipping. Creating dreamy visions of hidden places, connecting us to the world and each other.

"Andie Paradis Freeman’s work engages traditional realism and contemporary abstraction to evoke a space in time that is frozen and dreamlike."

The subjects of my paintings are cherished and natural objects hanging and moving in a fantastical setting as if the viewer just missed meeting the users. Still life is used as a tool for narrative, giving a glimpse of a life lived by using artifacts of daily life combined with the richness of nature. We live in a disposable world that makes us critical of ourselves, and others, as we reach for the next object to fill the void of human interaction. In this time of rapidly changing lifestyles of modern communities, the art reflects the importance to explore what it means to be human and what mark we leave for current and future generations through daily rituals and interaction with nature.
