About: Hand's down in my top 3 small/medium rugs we have. So finely woven, so many incredible colors making this one of the most decorative pieces around, and of course, the age and symbolism add an infinite interest to this piece. The iconic Herati or Water Garden design steals the show, but ONLY of the colors in this rug would allow it. A master dyer dyed this rug for sure, the richness, the brightness, the value it holds even after being nearly 100 years old is incredible. Each flower, each petal, each dang knot is saturated with its respective color. You will see just how magnificent this piece is from the pictures, but in person, your eyes will melt when you see it in front of you. The deepest of indigos as the backdrop and canvas to allow every single color to pop; the rich reds, army greens, honey yellows, mocha and chocolates, soft blues, and more. Beautiful tight border to compliment the wild and sprawling vine and root design that links the iconic fish and world motifs - sensational piece right here.
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.
Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
