Melissa Mary Jenkins is an abstract artist and natural ink maker based both in Erin and Bancroft, Ontario. Melissa’s digital abstract landscapes reflect the strong pull of the natural world encircling her. Melissa “thinks in paintings” and crafting digital art is an immediate way to transfer her thoughts. Creating digital art is also a natural progression in Melissa’s sustainable art practice because her process generates zero art-material waste.
This vintage-inspired portrait painting was created by Melissa on her iPad with a program called Procreate. “Clouds at Twilight” is reminiscent of antique landscape oil paintings in blue and various shades of green. Melissa applied both a craquelure effect and a canvas texture to this print. This fine art print is printed by a local fine art printer on a lovely linen paper.
