The chair model BLACK 1901 was launched at the ICFF - Wanted design fair in 2022, during the New York design week.
Each chair is made by his creator and his team at the espina corona workshop under SLOW MADE standards and with ecological awareness.
The design language combine traditional and modern techniques, 3D printed joints, digital fabrication and artisan process.
The unique finish in black is a natural transformation of untreated Patagonia wood into a matte black surface when treated with a liquid special mixture. Once is applied to the untreated wood, the natural darkening process begins. Due to the structural properties of the wood as well as its inherent degrees of acid, the coloring of the reaction produces tones of matte black. The surface of each unique piece is sealed also with an oil - waxed finish.
Environmentally friendly materials are chosen for his construction, like natural tinted black vegetal leather and wood from sustainable forests of Patagonia.
