Stoneware & porcelain ceramics inspired by nature and landscape

Julija Pustovrh is a Slovenian born artist now living and working in Edinburgh, UK.

Her background is in Landscape Architecture with emphasis on model-making and 3D presentations. Since her graduation in 2014 she has been working on various collaborations and individual projects spanning from urban design, woodwork, printmaking, stained glass art and ceramics.

Julija has always drawn inspiration from nature. Her work explores the fine line between real and imaginary plant worlds, looking at forms, structures and patterns in micro and macro scales, transformations in time and space.

Currently Julija is working on an ongoing project exploring the connection between Scottish landscapes and coastal features. She has been collecting sand from remote corners of Scotland and is incorporating it her work.

In 2017 she became a member of the Edinburgh Ceramics Workshop. In 2019 she became the studio technician at ECW and helped develop the new teaching studio at the time of the expansion of the ECW in 2019/20.

In September 2020 Julija has established her own ceramics studio at Abbeymount, Edinburgh and since then works solely on her projects, commissions and offers a small variety of here work to selected stockists.
