I painstakingly handcrafted this distinctive lamp base, skillfully shaping it from grogged stoneware clay. I selected a white special effect glaze to impart a captivating textured bubble surface. Following a meticulous 48-hour firing process in the pottery kiln, with temperatures soaring up to 1240 degrees Celsius, the lamp base emerges with exceptional durability. The European E27-sized lamp fitting offers compatibility with both E27 and E26 light bulbs.

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that the lamp is sold without a lamp shade. The pictured lamp shade measures 33cm in diameter and 23cm in height.

Inspired by the waves of the ocean and the textures of the coastline, I throw my pieces on the pottery wheel and then alter them using hand building techniques. I like to experiment with shapes and I develop my own glazes. Opening the kiln after the firing is always thrilling because only then you know if your idea worked out.
