ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
Acrylic on canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

Bronte Breeze acrylic on 40cm round canvas was inspired by the pearlescent sea foam that laps at the warm metallic golden sands of Bronte Beach on the NSW Australian coast. The warm sea spray disperses over the iconic coastline with cells of white surf in the shallow aqua and turquoise water.

Based in Hunter Valley Wine Country, the Australian Landscape is a reoccurring theme of my artworks. After studying at the University of Newcastle and Charles Sturt, I developed my sculptural and jewellery manufacturing skills before teaching Visual Arts in the Upper and Lower Hunter regions of NSW. The beauty and unique qualities of the Australian Landscape became apparent while I was travelling throughout the United States and Canada. The expansive coastlines and natural lakes that define the environment along side hidden valleys and majestic mountainous ranges are a constant source of inspiration. Ancient gemstones and her jewellery making practice are strongly referenced in the abstract compositions. An obsession with colour and textural qualities are explored through her delicate chalk pastel works and the bold expressive alcohol ink and fluid acrylic works.
