This finger-painted oil, Breath of Skye, pays homage to the rugged landscape of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Green, verdant, and full of sky.

I challenged myself with this painting by creating land features, still only using my fingers as my tool. I love how the hint of shrubbery cues me to see the painting as a landscape. The whole painting carries you in, around, and through.
I like to incorporate the edges of the canvas into my art; this expands the work, giving the viewer a different perspective from each side. I have signed this painting on the front, and the back contains the title, materials I used, my name, signature again, the year, and the dimensions.
