Metamorphic, morphing, transferring qualities in colours and shapes. The lines, circles and the filling up or evaporating content from the black circle create a dynamic contemporary feel. The blue pastel layers provide a soft base for the contrasting golden four lines as well as the black sumi ink half circle that I inlayed into the base paper.

connections and flow - original art

I am greatly inspired by the symbolism of folk art, Indian nature and architecture , textile design and Hungarian landscape. I am fascinated by the cohesive power that keeps the subatomic, as well as the intergalactic structures together. It is an amazing freedom within the structure.

I love to observe the communication of visual elements.

I graduated from art college, in Hungary then worked in the production department of the animation industry for 10 years. This took me to India where I spent 12 amazing years and started my family. I returned to Hungary, then spent a couple of years in Scotland teaching art&design. Now I am back full time on my art practice. I run an art studio where I paint and also teach art and design.

I start my paintings from a gesture and let it make its story or create its life. This can be a searching line or a colour patch marking an area. That breaks the virginity of the white paper or canvas.
Simple symbols like circle, line, dot, plain or designed surfaces get into life and gain personality. I like subtle differences between surface treatments and color shades. I work on a painting until every element on the picture has a pair and the entire image comes together into one circle that the viewer can walk through. Just like it was a map.

I like to let the viewer finish the stories so I keep my paintings open. It is not really a conscious stop before the end but the need of air, space and possibilities.
