This ceramic lamp is a unique piece that will enlighten any space. I made this lamp out of white stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and altered the shape using handbuilding techniques. The surface finish is a so called pomex glaze which gives it its particular surface texture. The lamp base is 32cm high and 24cm wide. The lamp shade in the pictures has got a diameter of 32cm. The lamp comes without a light bulb (E27 fixture)

Handmade functional tableware and funky sculptural ceramics

Inspired by the waves of the ocean and the textures of the coastline, I throw my pieces on the pottery wheel and then alter them using hand building techniques. I like to experiment with shapes and I develop my own glazes. Opening the kiln after the firing is always thrilling because only then you know if your idea worked out.
