In creating this piece, I've delved into a whirlwind of emotion, sweeping across the surface with oil and wax to craft a vibrant abstract landscape. This work is a celebratory image inspired by the nature surrounding my home and studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina (USA). Waterfalls represent perpetual change and the mountains are a link between the heavens and earth. The abstracted and symbolic depiction of “home,” is placed near the center of the composition and it references the centering impact of nature on the individual. Framing on request.
